Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Scott Avenue School! I am proud to serve as your Scott Avenue principal and I am looking forward to working together with everyone to Unleash Your Potential academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally this school year. It is going to be a fantastic and full school year!

Scott Avenue is a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school, which is a proactive system-wide framework for creating and maintaining safe and effective learning environments. We strive to teach our students clear behavioral expectations across all school settings. We BARK at Scott Avenue:

We reward students showing expected behaviors with BARK Bucks that can be redeemed throughout the year for a variety of incentives. When students are not meeting expectations we reteach and support them as necessary within a tiered structure. More information is available in our Parent/Student Handbook and will be shared at Back to School Night. Many of our BARK incentives require volunteer support. We invite parents, grandparents, guardians to these and many more volunteer opportunities throughout the school year.

In preparation for our return to school, please keep informed and visit the EWCSD website Family Resource section frequently, and read all Aeries Parent Square messages as the most current information and any changes will be communicated as soon as possible through Parent Square. Scott Avenue Awarded the Gold PBIS Recognition

This year, Scott Avenue was awarded the Gold Implementation award from the California PBIS coalition!

2025-2026 Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for TK and Kindergarten will begin on January 27th. Intradistrict permit requests will also be taken beginning January 27th -February 7th. Interdistrict permits will be taken from March 3-14. Please visit our enrollment hub online for complete details. Please note all deadlines will be strictly adhered to throughout the process. Also, as a reminder, only new students need to apply for permits. If your student has been approved for a permit and is within K-4th grade or 6th- 7th grade, you do not need to re-apply. However, 5th grade students who are on a permit and wish to attend a school other than their school of residence for 6th grade DO NEED to re-apply for a permit.
